Unfortunately our on-line payment platform is out of commission and being investigates be E-Way and Clubrunner. Never mind, just book so we know you are coming with friends etc and preferably pay by EFTPOS
to RCE Admin Account. 633-000 220832828
and put your surname and a X for the Xmas party and a c for Clalbrian night in the description box or pay on the night with cash or credit card.
You don't have to book for the Xmas breakfast on 16th December - just come along.
General discussion from the floor included viability of the Art Show with the hours committed and reducing sales of artwork, so possibly our efforts should be directed elsewhere. It was felt that we should be seen more in the community. Personal relations are important with liaisons with schools such as our recent sponsorship and presentation by Regina and Nola at St Bernards College for student to go to the NYSF and were featured in their school magazine.
As for public relations we were involved with exchange students in the past and developed close relationships. Michael Cariss reminisced aboutt his experience hosting over 5 exchange students. His advice was to be the first host family before the students picked up bad habits from their peers at school. He was particularly fond of Tomako a 16 year old Japanese girl who arrived with a mountain of luggage at a black belt in Judo. She visited the local Judo club and after a few bouts thought that the local talent also black belts weren't up to her skills.
Clovis Nhiem, a regulkar visitor to the club once again informed us of the need to maintain our cars and risks in driving and has offered a safety check at his premises in Tullamarine.
The meeting closed on time and we a looking forward to fraternise at the Xmas Party.
