International Humanitarian Projects
Current projects supported by the Rotary Club of Essendon
1 Bahay Tuluyan- Philippines
A children’s rights organisation based in the Philippines with programs and services aimed at preventing and responding to abuse and violence against children in the Philippines.
2 Myanmar – scholarships with the SCOT Centre
SCOT group partners with a vocational training centre in Myanmar called STEP-IN STEP-UP (SISU), highlighting a focus on youth vocational training and employment.
3 Kenya and the Ruben Centre
Partnering with the Ruben Centre for educational support for youth in the slums of Mukuru,Nairobi, Kenya.
4 Donations in Kind (DIK)
DIK West Footscray is a volunteer-based repurposing facility, which collects and redistributes goods both locally and internationally, principally donated by companies, hospitals and educational institutions.
5 Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS)
RAWCS delivers Rotary’s humanitarian, development, and disaster relief projects both in Australia and Internationally.Upholding human rights is fundamental to their operations.
